Olasym 100mg Tablet is a cancer medication that belongs to the class of PARP (poly [adenosine diphosphate-ribose] polymerase) inhibitors. Its active ingredient is Olaparib, and it is used to treat ovarian, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. The tablet may be given alone or in combination with other anticancer medications.

You should not take Olasym 100mg Tablet if you are allergic to Olaparib or any other ingredients in the tablet. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, fever, cough, or wheezing.

Before starting treatment, and monthly during therapy, your doctor will perform blood tests, as this medication can reduce red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of lung, liver, heart, or kidney problems.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: This medication is not recommended during pregnancy, as it may harm the fetus or cause miscarriage. Women of childbearing potential should undergo a pregnancy test before starting therapy and continue using effective contraception for at least six months after treatment ends. Breastfeeding is not advised during therapy because it is unknown whether the medication passes into breast milk.

For men: Avoid donating sperm for at least three months after completing treatment.
