Lenvima 10 mg Capsule contains Lenvatinib, a medication classified as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is prescribed for the treatment of progressive or advanced thyroid cancer when radioactive iodine therapy is no longer effective. It is also indicated for patients with previously untreated liver cancer who are not suitable candidates for surgery.

Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, an aggressive form of advanced thyroid cancer, most commonly affects individuals over the age of 60. It typically presents with a firm, enlarged thyroid gland and hoarseness of voice caused by paralysis of the nerve supplying the vocal cords.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) generally arises in patients with underlying liver diseases such as cirrhosis or chronic hepatitis B infection.

Patients with a known hypersensitivity to Lenvima 10 mg Capsule or any of its ingredients should avoid using this medication. It is important to inform your dentist or oral surgeon if you are taking Lenvima, as the drug may delay wound healing and increase the risk of bleeding complications.

Lenvima 10mg Capsule blocks the enzyme receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). RTKs develop new blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the cells and help them grow. This medicine inhibits the receptors that facilitate the growth of blood vessels in tumor cells. RTKs are present in high concentrations in cancer cells, and administration of this medicine slows down the rate of cancer cells’ growth and multiplication.
