Introduction to Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet

Comcapsy 400 mg/20 mg Tablet is an anti-metabolite chemotherapy medicine that contains Capecitabine and Cyclophosphamide as active ingredients. It belongs to a group of medicines known as nucleoside metabolic inhibitors and alkylating agents. This combination is used along with other anticancer drugs to treat metastatic colorectal cancer and breast cancer.

Cancer is a condition in which body cells grow and multiply in an abnormal and uncontrolled way. Comcapsy is also prescribed to help prevent the recurrence of colon cancer after the tumor has been completely removed through surgery.

During treatment, your doctor may regularly monitor your complete blood count (CBC), prothrombin time (PT), and INR levels to reduce the risk of serious complications.

Comcapsy 400mg/20mg is prescribed alone and also in combination with other anticancer medications like Docetaxel and Oxaliplatin. It stops the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis. This drug gets converted into its active form called fluorouracil and interferes with cell signaling, ultimately preventing the multiplication of cancer cells.

How to consume Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet

Take a Comcapsy 400mg/20mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Do not crush or chew the tablet. If you miss a dose of this tablet, take it as soon as you can if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is over 12 hours since your missed dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing times to avoid taking double doses. Call your doctor to ask about making up the missed dose.
