Butrum 2 Injection contains Butorphanol Tartrate, a mixed opioid agonist-antagonist analgesic. It provides effective pain relief for moderate to severe pain while having a ceiling effect on respiratory depression compared to pure opioid agonists. Available at ₹60 (MRP ₹67.02).

Therapeutic Effects of Butrum 2 Injection

Butorphanol is a mixed opioid agonist-antagonist. It activates kappa opioid receptors for analgesia and partially antagonizes mu receptors, providing effective pain relief with lower dependence risk than pure mu agonists.

Interaction of Butrum 2 Injection with other drugs

Enhanced CNS depression with alcohol, benzodiazepines, other opioids. May precipitate withdrawal in opioid-dependent patients. Avoid MAO inhibitors within 14 days.
